In my experience, the very best rooms are those in which there is a certain comradery among the members, be they united by FanClub status or just simple devotion to the model. Often discussions between members are a distraction for the room or a diversion from the general conversation. Also it would be nice for a model's biggest fans to brainstorm to plan a surprise for their favorite. I know of one other site where it is possible to DM (or whisper) between members and think that such a feature on F4F might be fun. I honestly don't know technically what might be involved but thought I would begin a discussion among members to see if there is any interest in developing such a feature.
I have received the following replies:
I am a member of the other site you mentioned. It is a nice feature to be able to type to other customers in the room as well. I've had some nice conversations with other guys in the room. The only thing that might make me a little hesitant about the feature is that I have read some time ago that some members might receive malware or a virus if they reply to certain messages that suddenly pop up on the screen. The customer or member thinks the message is really from a genuine member or even a model, so they reply to the message. In reality, it's a computer program that is testing whether the reply is really from an actual person or just a bot. As soon as it gets a response it is confirmed that it IS an actual person, then the member gets a virus or malware program. I wouldn't want that to happen to me, so maybe it's better that this site does not allow that feature. Many times on the other site I have disabled the feature to type to other customers or models this way, just to be safe.
And:
It used to be allowed on here but the rooms became just members whispering among themselves like a school reunion at a pub. Models were pretty much a background voice that was just 'there' Site removed whispers completely and slowly bought it back from model to chatter and vice versa.
I for 1 am glad member to member whispering is removed
Can you please confirm these replies and also address any other technical concerns regarding this matter?
Thank you in advance.

Over several years I've seen customers cross talking to other customers, making in person sex dates, making online sex dates, making outside financial deals, making football bets, selling porn shows on the side. This was in open chat. If they were allowed to whisper to each other without even the performer's oversight, it would become a third world economy. The purpose of the site is to provide a means for horny, anonymous customers to get off and reward hot models for their helpful performances. Emphasis on reward models. That's what pays for operations. I can't think of a good reason flirt should fund the bandwidth for you and Joe Schmoe to talk about extraneous topics. Quote

First, he isn't asking anyone to confirm other people's post, he is asking you to confirm that the content is factual. Is what was said just one person's opinion or does a large percentage of the community feel the same way?
Second, the purpose of the site varies among each individual. I don't think you speak for all with your description. Again, a single view doesn't make it so.
I think what Starry is trying to do is develop the community atmosphere that has existed on this site and often seperates it from the rest. Yes, community. It is used on one of the drop down menu under my account and had often been used to describe the site in online reviews about the site.
I get many of you guys are anti social and only come here for yourself and don't care if others are having a good time especially the model. This is typical of our society in the past 20 years.
What I believe Starry is encouraging and I totally agree, is a more communal room invites a more interesting room and a more interesting room provides a better time/ experience for all.
If you look at any of the top models, they speak to everyone and everyone chats back and forth. They are not whisper only rooms. Regulars know each other and come together to support the model. One person doesn't do all of the tipping while 10 others beg and 90 others freeload.
And who benefits? Everyone, the model makes more, the members have more fun, the parties are better and when the model takes off for private, her / his room doesn't turn into a ghost town that has to be rebuilt upon return. Everyone hangs out and has a good time in the community atmosphere.
