As for your comments about the OWS movement allow me to educate you with some facts since I have attended a few General Assemblies at Zuccotti Park and have marched in numerous rallies. The OWS movement is not about blaming anyone, it is about the frustration in a system that has been left unaccountable for way too long between Wall Street and Congress. The OWS movement also does not blame a political party because it blames BOTH parties and their symbiotic relationship with Wall Street. And as for jobs, many in the movement have jobs... I have talked to professors, union presidents and teachers. To imply Zuccotti park is filled with unemployed people who are simply too lazy to look for work is unbelievably condescending and proves you are very misinformed.
It's refreshing to hear you weren't just referencing a current event. But if you notice I spoke in generalities and while joblessness was something I mentioned specifically I also said the bad state of things in general (I meant the economy). I never once said the people were lazy so don't assume I did. If I am unbelievably condescending you are unbelievably presumptive. I am informed, getting my news from a variety of sources, online, television and lastly printed. When one views any of the media I mentioned the grievances from the occupy group quite often mention needing work. I stated a reality. If your grief is not having a job you sure won't find it in a demonstration. Maybe you should talk to varied sources. I mean professors, union leaders and teachers, really?!? sounds like onesided opinions.
I will admit I should have used another term when I said don't blame the wrong "party". I was speaking of groups i.e Congress, the White House, some elements of Wall Street, not political parties. I'm glad you see congress is at fault they are the ones who gave Wall Street meddlesome assistance but not just the legislature. Both parties' past and current inhabitants of 1600 PA Ave stirred the pot. Wall Street took what the government gave which was our money. However, unlike many interviewed occupiers I don't believe the answer is getting rid of capitalism. I love reading what occupiers would replace capitalism with, they don't have a clue of a suggestion. Maybe the occupiers should protest at the above mentioned address instead of WS.
Back to the pro vs amateur issue of the thread. Can you say you had no bias when you began this thread? No, you said the porn pros should be elsewhere because they have other venues to make income. When I said no one forces us into chat rooms I was speaking figuratively. Any performer here succeeds on their own merit. Are they personable? Do they give a good show? If the answer is yes they will do well on the site whether they are amateur or pro. Afterall repeat clientel is required in any successful business.
Glad to have this discussion blazze, to paraphrase Voltaire, I don't agree with all your opinions but defend your right to have them.
