check for muscled dominique, he is more ripped, i dont know if bigger but it can be
Ok first of all I weigh 265lb now and Dominique weighs 211lb. BIG difference. I compete SHW class he is probably a HW or LHW. Don't usually respond to posts like this for fear of coming off too "full of my self" but I like credit where credit is due and I'm all about stats. I see guys way bigger and leaner than I will ever be at the Olympia and all the time when I compete, and I'm perfectly ok with admitting that.
Being a bodybuilder I am very comfortable with comparisons as that is what we do. It's usually the people who aren't bodybuilders that make comparisons unfortunately but I'm ok with that too. Being a competitive athlete, however, I must call things how they are and perhaps educate those who aren't competing about how things really are.
I looked Dominique up and he has awesome abdominals! He weighs 211lb's and seems to be pretty ripped in his pics. Bodybuilders are more ripped certain times throughout the year with their most impressive low bodyfat numbers occurring close to one of their shows. To say one bodybuilder is more ripped than another is failing to understand bodybuilding off and in season training. Off season bodybuilders are trying to put on size which can only be done with an increased caloric intake and usually higher body fat to cushion the joints for heavier, more intense lifting. An off-season bodybuilder isn't trying to look "ripped" because it's counterproductive to what they are doing. When getting ready for a competition, bodybuilders have to lift differently as their bodies are depleted from dieting. On stage everybody is at their weakest although they look spectacular and ripped. Not drinking water and prescription strength diuretics combined with a low sodium diet sucks all water from under the skin. Some bodybuilders have even died from this unnatural condition of extreme dehydration and most suffer painful cramping and headaches. The last couple of days can make you or ruin you leaving you looking half as ripped on stage as you really are if you don't have everything dialed in just perfectly, On stage both I and Dominique would have similar bodyfat levels.
As for an honest and what I feel is a genuine unbiased analysis of both of our physiques, (I have served as an NPC judge), I would say Dominique's abs, if they look exactly as they do in the pics are better than mine are at present, but not necessarily when I'm contest ready. I would say he has a good back, but that it lacks detail and that at present my back is more "ripped". When I see his arms I would say they are proportionately comparable as is our vascularity. His chest is well proportioned but isn't as striated as mine or as full at present although his delts appear more striated. There aren't many good "competition" pics of his legs but from what I can see they might be his weak area lacking quad sweep and thickness as well as good hamstring depth when viewed from the side. My legs are more ripped than his at present. His glutes look excellent and are very comparable from what I can tell.
Overall he has an excellent physique (very typical of older competitors whom I look up to) but his abs are the ONLY area at present judging from the pics that is more "ripped" than mine. Doesn't mean anything really. We might both be at different stages in our training. All bodybuilders have weak and strong areas and we work hard to improve them. It becomes personal preference as to what is aesthetically more pleasing to someone, and not a question of "who is better". Bodybuilders sacrifice socially and personally on a level that is beyond comprehension to the average individual. I hope this sheds some light on the subject.
