I was thrilled to pieces when I discovered Galt Niederhoffer's book The Romantics was being made into a feature film. However, despite the acting and the direction, I was disappointed with the overall outcome. The book deals with a lot of great psychological issues (marriage, loss of lover, etc.). However, despite a few scattered intelligent moments, the movie seemed to opt for the "chick-flick" mentality (anyone tortured by a chick-flick, you know what I'm talking about). Let me know what you think either here or in my chatroom when I log on. As always, wish you guys nothing but the best.
