Many months ago a thread of the Gay Fantasy Board concerned the absence of VODs of many Saint Petersburg models. After scanning the threads a couple of times, I've been unable to identify the the relevant one and for that reason am starting another.

My memory, which might be mistaken, is that the VODs of the models of the largest two Saint Petersburg studios were removed because someone was downloading them and using them for purposes that compromised the privacy of the models. My further recollection is that Flirt4Free would restore the VODs as soon as the problem could be corrected. Whether the VODs were initially removed at the insistence of the studios or by a decision at Video Secrets I don't know. Neither do I know if the failure to restore them is by choice of Flirt4Free or the studios.

In my opinion the absence of those VODs diminishes the enjoyment of the site for many members. The restoration of the VODs would make visiting Flirt4Free much more enjoyable, as well as more profitable for the models, studios, and our favorite site.

Does anyone have an opinion or information about this?

I do a lot of shows with the Russian models, the VIP's do get the VOD'S for the shows they do with the models. The VOD'S are not allowed to be shared for whatever reason.

If memory serves me correctly, there was an individual who was illegally posting Russian model videos on other freebie sites. The individual was to be tracked down and dealt with but we (I) do not know what the outcome of it all. Perhaps the studio pulled out broadcast rights in light of this issue? Or, some kind of compensatory..damage thing was felt due to the studio and not paid, so rights were withheld or maybe refused on this side. I still have my access to the VODs, too.

Many of my privates with the Russians were more charity privates. I do not really care if those are available or not. I remember one I had, with a friendly hot guy I would consider a friend and was three minutes himl trying to talk to me in English, bad, English then calling me butt head in Russian. It was hilarious as I was swearing at him in Russian all this time. To an average VOD renter, it would just a waste of rental credits to hear three minutes of mostly 'butt head', 'butt head.' Then again, watching his eight pack abs contract as he said it and did flips around the room was kind of hot....

Thanks, Phil_USA and Maxx20020 for your comments. It occurred to me that the problem resulting in the removal of the VODs might no longer be a greater threat to the affected studios than to models and studios generally. The failure to restore them might not be by design but because of inertia. The piracy of copyrighted material and violation of models' privacy are problems endemic in the industry and the Russian studios are no more vulnerable than others. It seemed to me that prodding from the forum could result in their restoration by Video Secrets, assuming consent by the studios.

The VODs of Saint Petersburg models I've taken private are available for me to watch again if I choose. Certain of them, however, are not available for others to watch. These I take to be models of the studios whose VODs were removed. Other Saint Petersburg models, presumably because they work at home or at other studios, have VODs available for anyone who wants to see them.

Here are some Saint Petersburg models without VODs. If you see some of your favorites here, you'd probably agree that the site would be improved if their VODs were available to customers other than the ones who paid for the private shows. This isn't a comprehensive list, merely the ones I found.

Abik, Bius X, Cameron X, Bantly, Bekhem, Damic, David Blow, Croha, Denny X, Donald X, Dragion, Dakki, Djaguar, Korty, Mels, Riann, Milito, Johnny N, Kit X, Lary, Macvay, Pitter, Rake X, Reynolds X, Timmie, Timoty, Riann, Vaterloo, Stil, Wayne Sexy, and Wilder X.

A customer who wants to know before taking him private what a model is capable of and willing to do can learn a lot not only by watching a VOD but by looking at and pointing the cursor at the video captures on the model's VOD pages. Knowing how many VODs a model has is an obvious indication of his popularity. Checking out VODs is a resource for the prospective customer inferior in value only to chatroom observation and peeking when the curtains are open.

Phil, I sent Abik an email through the Flirt system several hours ago, asking him to answer in the forum. If he replies by email through Flirt I'll post what he says here. He might or might not be able to explain but it would be interesting to see what he says about it.

I think there might be a new development here which is more worrying.

A month ago I did a short pvt show with Corban, and asked whether there would be a VOD as I hadn't seen any on the site. He said he did not know but would make enquiries. There was no problem and I got the VOD.

A few days ago I did another short pvt show with Corban. This time he was pretty sure there would NOT be a VOD. I got the usual e-mail from F4F to say the VOD was available, but there was nothing to watch. The video thumbnails in My Shows just show a black box with Corban's name underneath and the irritating little red cross to show a missing picture or video.

I was a little disappointed, but I expect that I would be very disappointed if I had done a longer show and did not have the customary VOD that I could watch again for free.

To avoid disappointment it might be worth confirming with the Russian models that there will be a VOD available before doing longer shows with them.

Shame to miss a vital moment because you are typing at the time, and don't have the opportunity to see what you have missed. Nice to have a full-screen video without the typing.

ronnie_uk, I think the black screen is a technical problem. Not a problem with the video being sent out by the studio. Check in the technical forum, there is a thread about black screens that may assist you.

I have now looked at the other thread, and tried the Firefox option which admin suggested to you there, but without success.

I contacted admin about the particular Corban VOD I mentioned. They replied very quickly asking for more details, but were a bit pessimistic. I haven't heard more in the last 48 hours, but I will report any success or helpful suggestions here.

Btw it is nice to chat to you as someone who is also a fan of the cute Russian models like Corban, Kirya and Damic. Your reviews are enjoyable and helpful.

As mentioned above, I contacted admin about the Corban VOD which was not available even though Flirt4Free sent me a message to say that it was. I quote from their reply:

After a bit of investigation, we found out that the model/studio decided to remove that particular VOD. We do not have a reason to why it was removed, but you can always contact the model to find out.

In regards to if the studio/model are no longer sharing VODs, we found that they both are, and your VOD is a onetime situation.

This last part seems to be good news for everyone, and I am sorry if I raised alarm bells unnecessarily.

On the question of contacting the model, I had already sent Corban a message saying I was disappointed. If he doesn't reply I think I will let it rest. Corban is very sweet, and I would not want to appear to be harassing him.

I think there was more to this, and I think Corban and the studio might have been confusing me with someone else. Corban himself was a bit guarded. I have visited Corban since, and he was just angelic. Could not have been nicer.

Btw I have been tempted to do a pvt session with Cupidonn. He is looking really cute these days, working very hard and getting great reviews. However, in your review you said "don't expect a recording". I notice that he stopped doing shared VODs last summer, but thought that we would still get the customary "not shared" VOD for our personal VIP collection. Interested to know more...

Is some credit due to F4F admin for recovering the missing VOD following requests from you, or did the VOD "just turn up"?
