Well, it's been over a month now with no videos of any kind. Of course, we expect that it takes them 6 months or more to upload feature shows (if at all), but now they've stopped even uploading regular videos (not that they were that great anyway). I'm sure they're spending all their time converting to the new Flash system (and I'm sure that takes the entire company every second of their time). Why I continue to be a member here is beyond me. It seems to just get worse and worse. And, as we all know, there's no use complaining because Customer Support doesn't respond or just sends a form response. I'm very excited about a new site which is almost fully up and running which will hopefully give sites like these a real run for their money. Quote

The advantage of Flirt4Free over similar sites is that in Flirt's chat rooms a visitor can develop a closer relationship with the model and with each other. Anyhow, at Flirt, a sense of community can be created that doesn't exist elsewhere. The problem is that six dollars a minute is too much for someone like me, who lives from paycheck to paycheck.

All of us have had the problem of having a model who has given us pleasure disappear without notice. At the moment I am distressed (and that is not too strong a word) at the failure of Connell to appear on the last three times he was scheduled. Each time I sat up for three hours past my bed time, hoping he would come late, as he had done a couple of times. I hope his absence was temporary and not permanent. It is amazing how much of my emotional energy is devoted to visiting with him and fantasizing about him. I was so excited about his FOTM award and his feature show that I left work four hours early so as not to miss a second of it.

I know that it can't be done, but it would be nice if Flirt would inform its customers when a model scheduled to appear, cancels for one reason or another. It would be nicer yet if we could be told when a model has left Flirt.

Does anyone have any knowledge of why Connell didn't show up last week at his scheduled times (or at any other time)? I would appreciate any information you might have about this. My interest in Connell is such that Flirt seems uninteresting to me without him. And I would hate to spend the money on privates that it would take for me to develop a similar relationship with another model. Without a doubt f4f has reduced the benefits of VIP status. We now have a preview that is really a series of still shots separated by five-second intervals. This is better than nothing and more than the other sites offer but it is inferior to what we had become accustomed and what we paid our dues to get. The videos we now can watch for free--which in any event include few current models--will gradually be replaced by costly video on demand. While current performers might get a small percentage of the VOD revenue, most of the clips will be by performers long gone, who will get nothing. I doubt that many worth while videos will be added to the VIP section, and I suspect the videos that are not transferred to VOD will be gradually phased out. Of course VIPs have access to the photo galleries but most of the pictures there are of models of the past. There are hundreds of sites where I can see free photos of perfectly beautiful boys I don't know. It is galling to me that I would have to pay a second time to watch a video of a live performance I paid for. With regard to the feature shows, the recent one with Connell is the only one I cared to watch. In short, the advantages that I gained by becoming a VIP have been or will be taken away in large part. A gold-colored nickname is not worth thirty dollars a month. If what a customer wants is live, raw sex, he can get it from handsome, young performers at other sites for half the price or less. But if he wants a site where he can develop something approaching a personal relationship (insofar as an anonymous relationship where lies are indistinguishable from the truth can approach the "personal") with a model--which for me enhances the sexual experience immensely--he can only get that kind of enjoyment at Flirt. Under the new circumstances, however, I fail to see that a gold member has any advantage over a white registered user. As with any business vs/flirt wants to maximize its profits, but it will not accomplish its aim by alienating its current members or by charging an exorbitant price for a VOD of uncertain quality when a customer could watch a professionally produced and expertly performed video at another site at a lesser cost. Incidentally, there are many models that I like and would take private at three or four dollars a minute that I would never consider taking private for six. For me, six-dollar models are rare. Quote

I think some newcomers to Connell's room might feel a little on the outer because they are not part of this regular group (clique?), and they might go off to look for another model where the members don't all know each other and where the member to member chat is not so lively. It's possilbe Connell might lose some privates for this reason

I am also a regular visitor to Connell's room, but I usually visit late in his shift after all you guys have left, lol. He seems to be glad of my company then, when things are quieter

Unlike you, I did not become distressed about this, I simply assumed he is suffering from some malady and that he will return when he recovers. Perhaps he took another holiday, although I admit this is much less likely

Often studios are no more aware than we are why a model has not appeared for a scheduled shift. On one occasion I even had a studio manager contact me to ask me if I knew the whereabouts of a particular model who he knew to be one of my favorites

And Flirt4Free would seldom be able to inform us that a model has left, simply because they usually don't know themselves. However you can be sure a model has left if he has been deleted from the bios. If a model has not appeared online for a month this happens automatically

For that reason on my last three visits I have used a name other than Blueboy, but have whispered who I was to Connell. On the other hand, I and the clique have generated lots of privates for Connell. One night when a couple of hours had passed without a private, I suggested that we form a train. I would be the engine for five minutes, another regular would be the boxcar, and another the caboose, each to come in after the five-minute segment ended. That was when previews were faster and bigger and all could enjoy the show. Connell will confirm to you that once the train started he was in private for three solid hours with only the intervals necessary for someone else to board the train. The game inspired excitement and helped turn a dull evening into a profitable one for Connell. We were helped along by a teenager who ran up a $900 bill for an extended chat on his dad's credit card. But lately when things were not going well I had the idea that the regulars were monopolizing the chat and visited under another name, of which Connell was aware.

You can be sure that I have appreciated your forum comments for a long time, although only when Connell won FOTM did I post my first comment. I have visited Flirt since December of 06. To let you know my preferences in boys my favorites have been Waldemar/Calvinn/ Kennan, Talman, Namit and Connell. Incidentally, one of my favorites was a fine performer before he left Flirt in October, but now is an arrogant and insulting model, simulcasting on two other sites, using the same name as at Flirt. In our narrow little world he was a star, and reveled in the exhibitionism and the attention.

The possibilities are endless. But whatever the reason is I would like to know. Purely from a financial standpoint I hate to see an investment of hundreds of dollars in private performances come to such an abrupt end. Although I know I will eventually turn my attention to someone else, at the moment I don't want to, and in the mood I am in it seems I never will. It is possible that he felt exhausted, and needed time to recover or perhaps he decided that his Flirt time detracted from his studies at the university. If I knew he was in good health my anxiety would be relieved, although it would take me a while to adjust to his absence.

I think it is highly unlikely that without some intervening event of consequence, he suddenly had a change of mind and decided to appear no more on Flirt, especially after turning in a schedule for the next week.

Naturally, I will check a dozen times tonight (his Sunday) to see if he appears. But I doubt.

I agree with you that it is highly unlikely Connell would simply have "changed his mind" about working at Flirt4Free. I still think the most likely cause of his absence is an illness, although I admit that it would be an unusual or serious illness which would prevent him from communicating with us in other ways

You and I have for some time been way off topic in this thread, and perhaps it is now time for us to pool the information we have and to coordinate our efforts to find a solution to the Connell enigma. You were thoughtful to inform me and I appreciatie your courtesy. To my relief I found him last Sunday at midnight Central Daylight Savings Time in Texas (and stayed with him five hours) and was with him again on Thursday (midnight) for four hours. The explanation for his absence was that he had been ill. St. Petersburg is normally nine hours ahead of Texas time, but this year the U.S. switched to DST a few weeks earlier than the rest of the world and only eight hours separate us.

God save the queen! I started to say, "But if something should happen to her, may He bypass Charles and pass the crown to William," but then I realized how much I resented Flirt chat by foreigners about American politics and decided instead to express eternal gratitude to the Mother Country (Great Britain) for our great inheritance of language, law, religion, and literature, and leave such internal matters to our cousins on that happy island.
