His studio hasn't deactivated him yet, so either they are slow to update, or he's coming back. If his picture disappears from the model bios however, he has been deactivated

vs_jamie, are you aware that many studios are very slow to "deactivate" models, and that some studios NEVER bother to deactivate models, even when they fire them?

Bios still exist for many models who have not appeared on the site at all this year

Here are a few examples of inactive models with the date of their last appearance on the site :

Alfonce : August 17
Alon : October 10
Angy : December 17
Aragen : December 6
Agagon : December 12
Araks : October 31
Arcie : October 21
Aro : November 4
Arti : December 27
Aziks : November 26

Bios still exist for all these inactive models

This is true, some studios are slow to deactivate their models. Some like Alfonce for example however was on in February, only once, and not for very long, but long enough to make him active. If there are on even once, it counts as being active, and so their profile remains active. I'm not sure if you purposefully chose models from the same studio as an example, but this is obviously a studio that is slower to deactivate than others. Checking the bios is a general way to check, as it will usually provide you with the information. Sometimes however you are right, the model will stay active longer than they should. In that case, we appreciate being notified when studios are lax in deactivating, and have not been caught by the filter. Having a filter that automatically deactivates after a certain amount of time has been discussed as well.

I didn't realise when I provided the examples that most (but not all) of these models were from the same studio ... all I did was choose models I know whose names begin with "A". I visit the rooms only of Saint Petersburg models, and most of them are in one studio

I think you must agree that if a model appears only once in 7 months, and not for very long, as you say Alfonce did, that he should not be regarded as "active". Once in 7 months and only for a short time would satisfy my definition of "inactive" :orglaugh

Because you suggested that in my first example I might have deliberately chosen models from one studio which is slower to deactivate than the others, this time I have deliberately selected models from other studios

I didn't mean to suggest you had specifically chosen one studio, but all your examples were oddly enough from the same branch of the same studio. We did install a 30 day policy in the last month however, and so any model that shows up in the bios, has to have been active in the last 30 days. A model automatically becomes inactive now, as opposed to before when we would ask, or studios would do so at their own discretion. If for any reason you see any discrepancies in this policy, please let us know, as that would mean there was a programming error, something we would definitely want to fix. I hope this helps make the status of your models more easily accessible.

YES...TRULY ANNOYING TO HAVE SO MANY MODELS NO LONGER WORKING.
IF THE STUDIOS DO NOT DEACTIVETE THEM F4F SHOULD AFTER 30 DAYS.
IT'S EASYER TO REINSTATE THEM ANYWAY.

ummm, louisphillipe, the post of mine which you quoted was 2 months old

The new system, whereby Flirt4Free automatically deactivates models after a period of 30 days of inactivity, came into operation since then, as advised in an earlier posting by vs_jamie, and appears to be working well :thumbsup
