Hey there!
This is only my second day as a member here at F4F and I have a question.
I like chatting with you guys for a little while to get to know you. I would rather not treat people like a slab of meat to be used at my whim, you know?

My problem is that I also don't want to be a bother if you guys don't like talking and would rather just move to a private show.

So I need to know. What do you prefer? Or maybe I should say, what is the etiquette on the site? Do we annoy you with chatter? Or is getting to know you okay?

Most people prefer to get to know the model before spending time in private I think. There are also people who will spend time in private getting to know a model before taking things to another level. The reason for that is because in private chat the model is more likely to tell you things that they might not want to share with everyone in the open room. Customers can whisper to a model in the open room, but the model can't whisper back. Just my thoughts.

Tommy,

Your post reminds me to mention that AUDIO of a model is available in (some) VODs. I think models should realize this, so if there is personal info they would not divulge in OPEN chat, they MIGHT not want to have that same info recorded in private chat.

On the other hand, some chatters have been known to regularly listen to certain VODs of a model long gone from flirt. It can ease the withdrawal symptoms when actual communications is no longer an option. ...but that's another story...

p.s. BEFORE there are any comments about "withdrawal", notice I said "...listen to certain VODs..." I admit it: I'm OLD. SEX is easy to find here on flirt. The pleasant voice of an old friend is so much rarer.

Doc, I knew it was you...LOL...I watch out for ma peeps! Anyway, back to your original question. It is quite common for people to get to know the models through the open chat, and as a model I can say that without those chats taking place it would be a pretty boring time. I think some of the best privates come from both the stimulation before and during, we're all human.

The VOD's have a "make private" option that is only available to the member who initiated the private time, and very few people know how to or why it might be a good idea to use it some times. I have only had one person successfully make one of my VOD's private and because of that there are things that I simply won't do in front of the camera or in audio. However from what I understand if a model has a valid reason such as personal information and wishes to have a VOD removed, F4F will consider the request on an individual basis.

I love when people like chatting and not making me out as just a slab of meat. However, I do also need some more privates at the same time. So, I guess it's finding a balance for me. Also, I don't usually do audio due to when and where I'm camming from but I'm hoping to get to more soon.

Yes, I suppose the key is finding a balance.

Though I did finally find someone who was not interested in talking and was rather short and unpleasant when I tried to chat for a bit before requesting a private. I was surprised since the model, Arcady, is one of the top 20, and I figured he would be at a different level than the ones not in the top 20.

But I was wrong. Models such as Tommy, Jerom, and Norris Wilson, 2 of whom are not in the top 20, are great personalities and appreciative of their fans.

The trick for us as customers, apparently, is to find those models who mesh well with us. And I have a couple now who I will not be visiting ever again.

I am not casting stones at any performer, by the way. I am simply stating my experience. I am sure all models have members that love them.

It is a hell of a job and sometimes models are tired,depressed,sick, or in a bad mood like most mortals are every now and then. :mad

Lets not forget they are here to eek out a living.

Many times they don't even have one private per shift :evil

so
eventually they need to push a little for one. :drinkup

I have always found Arcady,Zalmoxe and Conrado of the most pleasant,educated and well mannered models as I stated a few days ago in another thread. :guitar

Absolutely NewYorkDude. I agree with everything you said.

As I commented, I am not trying to cut down anyone. I was just stating my experience with a model, and I am glad that you have good things to say about your favorites. I think more forum newbies would appreciate people's comments about our experiences, though everyone needs to form their own opinions about each model.
