I am curious to how or why a model becomes "premiere". Do they decide or studio/management decides based on credits spent on model from certain time frame? Info anyone?

I am sure if working for a studio the studio decides but they do have a say so a little. IF working from home themselves they can decide. Some models are new and don't know enough to set pricing or change it to say the least. After talking to many models that are friends. I know when a model goes premiere they never get private from me. 6.00 a min is high.. 7.00 and up to 10.00 or higher is way to much. I have yet to see anyone worth this kinda of money and today hard times and ecomony. Well not to me , let's say I can't speak for all. However, if they can get it and people pay it, all is good for them. WE all can window shop here and don't have to support models that are a little greedy I think.

I'm all for for a model to run his room as he sees fit. However, many new models set the bar to high and then come down on price much later after I tell them u are out of line in price. What bothers me though is a model complaining it is too slow and there rate is 80 or above cpms and they are either in multi 60 cpms.. This is not a private show. I think multi 40 is enough. Model ask for respect they should respect us and work with us on the pricing.

Again, models normally set their price. A model has the right to set price as he sees fit. We have the right to choose to pay if or not. I'm not against this format or against premiere. It just not worth it to me and models premiere has high clientale than a normal person I feel.

well ryder mccloud is worth every penny at 90 cpm but 95 per cent of them are not i partly agree

All Premiere means is the performer has chosen to be above 60 CPM. Common choices are 70/90 on the men's side and 90/120 on the female side. Whether a performer can justify it or not depends on the model. If the model is spending too much time in private then they should raise it; too little, then drop it. While people like to tie it to looks, in reality it should be purely a supply & demand decision.

Old Premiere standard was based on thier success and having a nice camera .

All above is true .

Female side I have seen SINGLE model at 250 . Someone reported 300 credits per minute .
Duo models often should be Premiere rates of highly rated models .

Some models have out priced themself when privates become too rare :twocents

Supply and demand drives all .
Sometimes Premiere rates are charged when the model uses Multi or Combo .
Rate is shown - NOT the Premiere . Most models here have a good business sense and go with the flow on prices .

I often avoid new models on 1st time with rates 70 to 120 :orglaugh

Some have cameras that look to have 1970s technology and blurry . Most are no longer on this site without upgrade of camera and/or more normal rates .

Group has seemed to driven prices DOWN for credit per minute rates overall .

There was a time when the "premiere" label was based on a model's longevity and the amount of money the model brought to the site. If you went into private with a "premiere" model, you were pretty much guaranteed to have a great show. Not anymore. It seems that now the "premiere" label is driven primarily by a model's ego. If he thinks he is somehow better than the other models on the site, he marks himself as "premiere". Some even have the audacity to label themselves "premiere" their first day! But, don't be fooled - I can say from personal experience that you are just as likely to have a good show (or a lousy show) with a "premiere" model as you are a "regular" model.

As you can see, this topic has been around for a while.

I agree that it is largely supply and demand that drives the continuing status of a premiere model. Not all models who switch to premiere are able to stay premiere because of a lack of shows. On the other hand, those models who are premiere and can maintain that status do so because they are able to get enough shows while in the premiere category. Quite simply if a model is good enough to be a premiere model and can maintain that status it's because they are a quality model. :twocents

Craig, I find it odd when brand new models are premiere. Your situation is different. Your bio says you have been online since August. If you are top 2-3% then I say more power to yah. I'm not against premiere but in these times I'm more selective with even regular mode.

, you can't do anything for it, only make a good show and work.
sometimes your price will up if you are a few weeks in top 5% on powerscore
but that's not sure that you will get upper price.
for somebody's it all take 5-6 months fir other it can take 2 months.

we got upper price but we don't know for what, good powerscore, reviews or blog.

in any case it all decide studio .

again, work and try to make maximum of all that you can. And you will get what you wants.

Most people on this thread really don't really seem to know what they're talking about... No offense to anyone in particular, but there does seem to be a fundamental misunderstanding of the basic business model used by VS.

This company isn't structured like most people imagine. Actually, given its use of international talent, the SOP in each country might be different because of tax and labor laws. Most of the time, it depends on the model's studio or account rep as to what's expected of them. The site handles a lot of models through outside studios (and no, not just the "brick and mortar" studios that seem to be common outside of N. America.) Some models are basically let loose on the site with unlimited control over most room control and pricing options with little to no training or understanding of the rules and regs of the site. Others have basically no control over their room and are coached by their studio heads to say obnoxious things like "u want for make cum fun pvt bb??" and to "milk credits" while in private by doing things to intentionally waste time. There's a reason they integrated the cam roulette option into the site; it's always been a gamble anyway...

The decision for what rate gets charged all depends on how much discretion is given to the model by their studio or account rep. Some models have nearly unlimited options, while others are only given one option and have to "earn" premiere status. So, if you have a problem with a model's rate, bring it up with them (whisper it, don't be a dickhead and try to haggle in their open chat, duh...) and they can talk to their studio.

The easiest way, however, to deal with models charging a CPM rate you don't like is quite simple: don't spend your credits on a private show with them. Move on and spend elsewhere. Nobody is forcing anyone to spend their credits on a particular model here, right? No? Good.

See? Problem solved.

What constitutes "premiere" is totally personal. Quality is not dictated by some arbitrary CPM rate. This ain't the stock exchange,boys.
