I was thinking this time last year many of you may have remembered Michael Jackson and Ferrah Fawcett past away on June 25, 2009. This coming Friday to the year..

Well I was thinking would it not be nice to maybe to have like a remembrance promo/theme weekend based on these 2 people that made entertainment something to be admired and enjoyed by many millions of people all round the world.

This is something aimed at the site really and the performers, guests/customers what do you think too ? Also could you performers pull it off ? maybe dress up as Jacko in one of his songs eg. the most famous one Thriller ? etc etc.. And Ferrah Fawcett say a Charlies Angel. .. I don't know I'm sure you would have many more.

Does it sound crazy or would it be a fun way to remember these 2 great people that entertained us for many years and changed the way we look at the world of audio/visual entertainment.

I just watched a new documentary last night on MJ. It was done by the CBC I think, at least that's who was showing it....

Anyway...

MJ was not able to revive himself in Las Vegas...the reason being that the powers that be in Vegas felt that he was "radioactive" . I would assume F4F would feel the same. I don't want to get into a debate about his character, I enjoyed the music just like anyone else. I just think there were way too many dark clouds for him to be a good choice for promotion.

Having said that, I'll put on a white dress and play Farah with anyone! hahaha

Yes I agree with you, but you know it was all about the entertainment with MJ and as you know a lot of the stories that were strange in the media were put out by his PR team to keep the intrest in him and the mystique around him. The oxygen chamber and buying Joseph Merrick bones (the elephant man) are good examples of this . Well the rest that happened later in his life who knows what really happened, the charges against him all came to a conclusion he was not guilty by courts.. but the truth is we will never know the truth there because people are greedy and try to exploit people in high positions and people in high positions will try exploit people lower down sometimes too. I try stay out of that debate for the reasons I don't know any of the people involved in it on a real/personal level so can't judge someone I don't know. Also we know the entertainment business always brings out the worst in some people, be it the entertainer or the people trying to expliot them. Just a real shame such a career came to such a bad ending and i'm sure MJ fan or not you will feel like a part of what you grew up with is gone now for good and some part of the entertainment industy has died with it. We forget he innovated many of the things we take for granted like music videos as we know them today or the huge concert shows.

Just was an idea and some others mentioned on this thread

that maybe base it around a entertainmet feel, like the oscars that way would not limit it to any one entertainer.
