Flirt should consult me before naming models. A new model is named Farrt. His bio says he has been online since April 10. Whoever settled on this name put an unnecessary burden on a new performer, who doubtless will be subjected to ridicule on account of it. I realize that the common names were perhaps long ago used up, but when a new name is created it should be easy to pronounce and spell, and certainly shouldn't be so close in sound and spelling as to cause an association with crude and vulgar bodily functions. The assignment of the name, aside from the model's embarrassment once he finds out what it sounds like or is close to in English spelling, can either attract or repel first-time visitors. Psychological and sociological studies have confirmed that attractive or repugnant names influence our initial impression of a person, aside from personality and looks. The latter two characteristics can triumph in the long run, but it makes no sense to place an additional obstacle in the way of a model's success.

Not having visited Farrt, I don't know anything of his looks, personality, or talents as a Flirt performer, nor do I know if insensitive visitors have engaged in the low humor that such a name inspires. I suspect, however, that a new model would have a smoother adjustment to Flirt if he didn't have to listen to visitors' repetitive jokes about his nickname. Quote

I think you are 100% right about model stage names. This issue can be resolved if models take inital+middle names such as (Jack) (Hunter) etc... Then we don't see bad stage names. And i don't believe there is shortage of names as long as you are creative not like the studio or the model you mention.

It's good to see someone raised this issue because nowadays we see many fresh faces around the world. Hopefully, things get better sooner or later...

Sowega, you are right, of course. The problem is that Flirt4Free doesn't allocate model nicknames, the franchisees or studios do, and often the franchisees and studios do not have a good understanding of English slang or even of the Flirt4Free "censor". I don't think Flirt4Free even has to approve nicknames, as long as they are unique

Some time ago I suggested that model names should not commence with the letter V, because the censor would change an innocuous greeting like "Hi Victor" to "****ictor". And one model with the unfortunate nick of Maugly of course became Ma****. He worked only one shift

I did visit Fart (oops, I mean Farrt, lol) for a short time, and I was surprised that, at least during my visit, there were no jokes being made about his nickname Quote

Thanks Jack and Jeff for your helpful comments. A simple solution would be for Flirt to veto inappropriate names and require the model or the studio to submit another.

I am familiar with another site where the names are absurd: Can you imagine chat that would begin, "Hello, Bigass4youxxx," or "Hi, Suckmynineinches," or "Greetings, Cumswallower109"? However defective Flirt's method of name selection is, it is superior to that of the competition.

After posting the comment, a friend that never shares his thoughts in the forum but reads all the submissions sent an email to me that made a rather lame stab at humor, but is perhaps worth sharing. Flirt, he wrote, invites visitors to talk dirty to the models. Some visitors are either shy or are too courtly to start a conversation with crude chat and therefore engage in an exchange of small talk before getting down to business: hru, name, age, where from, and then gay, bi, str8, size and so forth. Often as not, the model whispers the answers, so that other guests must repeat the same questions. Where the model answers in open chat he has to run through the same list when a new visitor enters the room. I am sure this is tedious for the model and the prospective customers. By the time a gray visitor gets around to "show pubes," the other visitors have fled the room in the quest for a more interesting site.

A model's vulgar nickname, my correspondent says, allows the bypassing of the perfunctory talk and shifts the obscenities from the tail of the conversation to the head: "Hello, Terd, show ass."

Names, for sure, can cause unease. More than forty years ago, while a college undergraduate, I read electric meters for a power company. One of my duties was to disconnect the electricity unless a customer paid a bill that was in arrears. I would say something like, "Mrs. Smith, you are two months behind in paying your bill and I must either collect it now or I will have to turn off your electricity." Mrs. Smith would then write a check on an account with insufficient funds, which would keep her lights on for a few more days.

On one occasion, the customer's name was Schitt. I was afraid to attempt the pronunciation. When she came to the door, I said, "Are you the lady of the house?"

If you question the relevance of this tale, here it is: Mrs. Schitt had been a female performer on Flirt in 1900, when it operated by snail mail. Quote

I think anyone with a bit of history knowledge would find that name a very unwelcome sight.. Wondering if they will allow Adolf Hitler next as a guys name .. yes they are names but they are names in history that are not looked at in a good way..

Some care needs to be taken by allowing certain names for the models sake (due to them getting negative remarks) and the sites (for making it seem a okay think to allow names that caused damage to peoples lives in history) ..

Don't want to sound over dramatic but when I saw the name Eva Braun on the models list I was hoping after some of the comments in the lady's room it would be changed ..
