Well if you are lucky enough to get a message from a model in open room thats annotated as "whisper" It alllegedly means that only u can see the message and vice versa when u reply.

(whisper):It dont work cos I have tried it and everyone else can read it too. :bowdown

(whisper):I guess it suppossed to make you feel a little bit special so u will go PVT quickly and not mess about jus idle chatting.

(whisper): Happy surfing to all. :angel

As far as I know only the model can whisper to you, you can not whisper back.

When not abused whispering is a very convenient way for a model and chatter to have a pvt conversation in the open room.
My fav and I do it all the time but we both remember he also must stay focused on the other chatters to keep the room happy and active

In the "new" rooms, the model can whisper to members, members can whisper to the model, and members can whisper to each other

When you are in a model's room you can click on "Chat Commands" below the chat window for an explanation of the whisper facility

I have gotten several whispers and did not know they were directed to me...duhh. Now I know.
Also, can models really tell if you have time in your VIP account in open room. I knew that they could in pvt since they seem to know if time is running out and several have said they can see time.
One more question, since I am new..........if you are under another name - do models also see your main account name. Just wondering since sometimes i like to just look and not talk all the time.

Dude as far as I know and I am sure I will be corected if I am incorrect in my reply.Models do not know if you have time in your account in open rooms. They can see your time remaining if ur in PVT.

The only name that they can see is the name that you are using in the rooms so your main account name is totally private. But they can see your screen name in thier room even if you do not post anything on screen.

Happy surfing to all; :angel

Hi. I was introduced to the whisper function sometime in March of tis year by a model. Then it seemed to use brckets and a semi colon. Didnt seem to work ayway. Now the chat commands suggest putting a slash/then the model name then your text. This seems to work in some rooms but not in others. Anyone have similar experiences? I am not a great user of this, but sometimes it can be useful.

bolendo, perhaps the model who "introduced" you to whispering only knew how a model whispers, not how a member whispers

The only way a member can whisper to a model is to type a slash followed by the model name followed by a space followed by the message you want to whisper. It works fine, but only in the "new" rooms, which can be identified by the menu bar at the top of the chat window

Thanks effie. I appreciate any advice I can get on this site. On a slightly different topic, I see clients bombarding our models with their msn yahoo and other addresses. I presume models are discouraged to contact clients outside of the official internal mail system, although judging by correspondence in these pages, many of them succeed and maintain regular exchanges. Some appear to value longterm friendship with clients. Is responsible contact tolerated by the site in general, or is there a risk of disapproval and possible banning? I hear of people being banned but never find out the reasons behind it.

I like this site, and find it fulfills a very important function for me at the moment (I live in a rural area in a very conservative society). I dont want to get anyone upset, but I would like to get in touch with some of the models. I would value your opinion.

bolendo, the rule for models is simple ... they are not allowed to divulge any personal information. Personal information means anything that can help to identify or locate the model, and includes real name, real address, email address and phone number. The site does not recognize what you call "responsible contact', other than by means of the Flirt4Free message system, which of course is subject to possible scrutiny by Flirt4Free. Models can be, and have been, penalised for giving out personal information
