Urban Dictionary:

Kalikatt:
1) A free spirit that loves the danger
Of seeing the world with an open mind,
Being faithful to uncertainty
And letting nothing unquestioned settle in the heart.
2) Promotion winning medium:
Sometimes it takes a while
To find the world again,
Lost after dream time
Has taken the heart and mind
To fantasize with shades of lives not chosen.

Like night with out its moon
Summer without its sun
Stoping a flower from blooming
when it's almost done

Like Dalmatians without spots
Piglet without pooh
Like Dori not being in Nemo
That's me without you!

Kali, you're absolutely awesome !!!

Kertus,
The short of it is 'no' ... the truth of it is: today, quality Free Verse isn't all that common

While good Villanelle, Acrostic, Pantoum, Rubiyat, Virelay, and/or Shakespearean Sonnet is also just as rare in this age, Free Form (rhyming poetry without a set meter or syllable scheme) seems to be the preferred and easiest format and style. In Free Form rhythm and word-flow decide where to place the rhymes, although they should always end the lines. Free Verse on the other hand, makes use of line breaks to accent and break up the words. Free verse is somewhat like prose: the difficulty indeed is line breaks instead of punctuation and paragraphing; thus, it must be written rich in imagery, rhythm and flow.

What is this magical bond we share?
Amidst the constant circus like avalanche of words,
How did you know?
Once like you stable and secure,
He is older, yet betrothed to your dream,
Faithful to uncertainty,
A spirit yearning to be free.
His subtle words lodge in your thought.
Why did you pick this stranger
With a hunger that you can not see?

A young woman's hair kisses the breeze,
Her dignity conceals the distance in her gaze.
Is it possible that a simple innocent radiant smile,
Or a crazy serendipitous verse,
Could bring two people so diverse
To where we find ourselves today?
Strangers once to our own lives,
At ease with the depth of our own emptiness,
How unlikely it is that we are here

It's quiet tonight, light raindrops filter through the leaves
Washing away the dust, releasing fragrances
On which the gentle breeze sweetens
The kind of night you wish you were with the one you love
Nestled close to the open fire
Watching the moon duck in and out of the white cotton clouds
Caressing and holding each other gently
Breath silently quivering collect;

Once locked away behind iron clad doors,
Feelings and emotions stir,
Disguised by layers of pain and ruin
Two hearts awaken.
A gentle, loving, knowing kiss;
Bound together forever
- Keepers of an invisible connection -

Dedicated to Kalikatt: mmmm mmmm mmmm in private while being a perfect angel in public...
:angel

Was there a choice once
Who can tell how it really was so long ago
Before the rain washed away the darkness
And the wind blew through the ruins
A wind who watched mountains rise
And etched the cliffs with echoes
Of every whisper heard
Holding captive with narrative each relinquished wish

We are as much strangers in nature
Something foreign to the wind
Who knows how it was in the beginning
When we were innocent and free
Whose silent patience will know voices of new commencement
But will never tell of what we can not yet see

Dark or Goth is not a style I've mastered
But here's one just for you Kali hun

As night falls the wind unfolds,
The air is cold and dreary,
Barely a sound, there is no-one.
Lined by rows of smoldering embers,
The road goes on for miles.
The night's torrent buries heart
And thought in blackened meadows.
Anger grows in rankled silence.
Amidst dense fog, ghost geometry
Plays with the knowledge
How far one has traveled,
How far must one still go.
Thankfully, the veil of mercy
Shrouds us from the void
That would turn the mind to ruin.
Tears fill our eyes when we stop to think
Of the one we love most.

----------------------
Days of absence, sad and dreary,
Clothed in sorrow's dark array, -
Days of absence, I am weary;
She I love is far away.
~Jean-Jacques Rousseau

You do something to me that I can't explain.
So would I be out of line if I said,
I miss you.

How like a winter hath my absence been
From thee, the pleasure of the fleeting year!
What freezings have I felt, what dark days seen!
What old December's bareness everywhere!
~William Shakespeare, "Sonnet XCVII"

Hope you are enjoying your well deserved time away from Flirt :thumbsup

My eyes are starting to have withdrawls from the lack of Beauty you once brought to them, and the butterflies have flown away...

...but William Shakespeare !!!

Didn't put enuff in the budget for that kind of production :orglaugh

Take Care

Quoting Shakespeare was the easy part ... but a major Genevois philosopher, writer, and composer of the eighteenth-century, whose political philosophy influenced the French Revolution and the development of modern political and educational thought was a bit more difficult (Jean Jacques Rousseau - However great a man's natural talent may be, the act of writing cannot be learned all at once).
I don't know much, though writing I miss my dearest Kalikatt isn't too terribly hard. :orglaugh
